You know I put a lot of thought & energy into making Artist Trading Cards for swaps & to trade on the site atcsforall.com. In a recent swap of "Counting Crows" I was given three cards which I am not the least happy with. One was, in my perception, a half hearted SCRIBBLE of a crow/blackbird, the other two were collages which I don't really care for in the first place. I've been very pissed off about getting crappy returns from swaps & I am not so sure what I should do....if anything. I'm sure the site admins would tell me art is different for each person. Everyone's vision of art is different, granted, but a half-hearted scribble is not something I want to get in exchange for my hard work. Maybe this is some sort of lesson I have to learn. My patience with the world is growing thin. All I ever see or hear is hate & anger & it is getting to me. I find no peace in life anymore. The building I live in is noisy, the neighbors are noisy & dirty & they don't give a shit about anyone else around them.
Why should I, then, give a shit if nothing good comes from it.
Anyhow, off track a little there...I want my own place far away from noisy, dirty people where I can live in peace & harmony with only Nature around me for company.
This is not the first swap I have been apart of where I have gotten cards that I did not care for in return. I'm considering not participating anymore because that is the only way I will be able to control what I get in return. If I just do 1/1 trades, then I can pick & choose.
One day, I will host a swap & I will try my damnedest to do like for like trades. Not just willy nilly trading them out.
